Responsibilities:

• Conduct group and private climbing lessons for climbers of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced.

• Provide thorough orientations to new climbers, explaining gym rules, safety procedures, and proper equipment usage.

• Supervise climbers on the gym floor to ensure their safety, and provide guidance, and help when needed.

• Demonstrate climbing techniques, including belaying, bouldering, lead climbing, and rope management, while emphasizing safety protocols.

• Assist climbers in choosing appropriate climbing routes based on their skill levels and goals.

• Create and deliver innovative climbing training programs and workshops to enhance climbers' abilities and foster a sense of community.

• Offer constructive feedback to climbers, helping them improve their technique, strength, and overall climbing skills.

• Monitor and maintain climbing equipment, ensuring it is in excellent condition and properly used.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, safety protocols, and advancements in climbing techniques to provide the best instruction.

• Contribute to gym events, competitions, and promotional activities to promote indoor rock climbing.

• Respond to inquiries and provide exceptional customer service, addressing climbers' questions and concerns with professionalism and enthusiasm.

• Uphold the gym's standards for cleanliness, organization, and overall facility maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Passion for rock climbing and a strong understanding of climbing techniques, safety procedures, and equipment usage.

• Previous experience as a climbing instructor, outdoor guide, or in a similar role is preferred.

• Certification in belaying and first aid/CPR is required; additional climbing certifications are a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to instruct, demonstrate, and convey concepts effectively to diverse audiences.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to create a welcoming and supportive environment for climbers.

• Strong observational abilities to assess climbers' skills and offer appropriate guidance.

• Physical fitness and strength to effectively demonstrate climbing techniques and assist climbers as needed.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations with composure and professionalism.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

• High level of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable climbing experience for all participants.
